About AAPD Hockey Club, Inc.
Our Story
AAPD Hockey Club was founded in 2022 by Chris Neall in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many first responders, Chris recognized the importance of connection, camaraderie, and having a healthy outlet outside of work. What started as a way for first responders to reconnect through the game of hockey quickly grew into something much bigger.
Today, AAPD Hockey Club brings together first responders and supporters who share a passion for hockey and a commitment to serving others. Through games, tournaments, community events, and charitable initiatives, we use the sport we love to build relationships and make a positive impact throughout our community.
Our Mission
AAPD Hockey Club's mission is to promote camaraderie, fitness, and community engagement through the sport of hockey, particularly among Anne Arundel County first responders, while supporting local charitable initiatives through events, partnerships, and outreach.
Our Vision
We envision a stronger community where first responders and supporters come together through hockey to foster wellness, build meaningful relationships, and create lasting positive impact both on and off the ice.
More than a Hockey Team
AAPD Hockey Club is more than a group of players sharing the ice. We are a nonprofit organization committed to supporting one another, strengthening our community, and using hockey as a platform to make a difference.
Whether through community partnerships, charitable fundraising, or simply bringing people together, we strive to live out our motto:
